Claud embarked on her career in music in the early nineties with pop/folk act Lucid, who enjoyed success at a number of venues in the south, the highlight of which were appearances at three WOMAD festivals

With a move to London Claud's solo project of pop/rock lead to gigs in & around London with two appearances at Ronnie Scott's. Back on home turf and a natural break took place in 2002 with the birth of her daughter (Violet).

Later on in 2003 Claud was given the opportunity to teach at Langtree Secondary School Oxfordshire and enjoyed time there for just over three years.

Having worked with Abbie Lathe for a number of years, Claud was brought to Maddy Prior's attention, and became one third of Maddy and the girls. With two tours and one album "Under the covers" Claud enjoyed the opportunity of arranging and performing some great songs with two excellent singers.

Number two child arrived December 2006 and again music was placed firmly on the backburner.  

With some great gigs as 1/4 of Abbie Lathe and the Lovelies around England last Autumn, some of Claud's original material gets a better than never live airing, this mini tour was a great success.  The band will be setting dates for their Autumn 09 tour as the year unfolds.
